European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL)

The European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) is the international, independent association of benchmarked Living Labs in Europe and worldwide. Founded in November 2006 under the auspices of the Finnish European Presidency, the network has grown in „waves‟ up to this day. To this date, 4 Waves have been launched, resulting in 212 accepted Living Labs. The ENoLL international non-profit association, as the legal representative entity of the network, is headquartered in Brussels, at the heart of Europe.

Within EnoLL different clusters focusing on specific domains are active. They form a dedicated network of thematic organized Living Labs. These clusters work in conjunction with the EU-CIP project Apollon (www.apollon-pilot.eu). These networks (in domains such as energy, healthcare and media) allow innovators to perform user tests of Future Internet systems and services on a European scale.

The Fireball project coordinates interactions between Smart Cities and Living Labs in view of Future Internet services. With all of this, ENoLL is able to mobilise the entire living lab community and to avoid any fragmentation of efforts.
